Tommy Morris was born in Taipei Taiwan, educated in New

Zealand and came of age in Australia. After five years in

the Middle East he now calls Singapore home.

With more than 15 years experience working with advertising agencies,

design firms and magazines across Australia, Asia and Middle East.

His love of photography was first kindled during his time

as a hair and make-up artist in the mid-nineties.

Hours spent on sets in Sydney working with some of the

best fashion and advertising photographers of the day, inspired him to

start shooting for himself.

Trained in the era of film, when craft and composition

where king, Tommy soon developed a distinct style of intriguing yet simple images

that tell their own story.

Even now in the digital age, Tommy is passionate about

lighting and craft, he continues to give his images a filmic quality.

He shoots with the belief that retouching is a tool to be used to enhance

a beautiful image – not create it.

He finds inspiration in the work of industry greats such

as Stephen Shore, Richard Avedon, Nadav Kander, Paolo Roversi and Irvin Penn.

Closer to home he is inspired by street art, galleries, design, films

and watching everyday people.

His fastidious eye for detail, “anything for the shot”

attitude and collaborative work style has earned him an

impressive client base and numerous industry awards across three continents.
